  • Terminator: Fate

On October 31, a new installment of the Terminator franchise was released. I couldn't miss this movie, so I bought tickets for the first show. The world premiere of the film took place on October 23, so you can already find a large number of reviews and reviews of the film on many well-known foreign resources. But I was surprised that foreign film connoisseurs speak quite negatively about the film.

Despite the fact that "Terminator" and "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" are the best films in the franchise, I think "Terminator: Rock" is the best film since 1991. The film competently adheres to the original idea and takes the epic to a new level. Tom Miller has done a good job bringing his beloved franchise back to the big screens.

The movie looks great, despite some flaws. The plot makes you worry. The acting is at a high level, Grace is amazing, the Rev-9 is the perfect hunter and killer, and even the Ramos Data turned out to be a very convincing leader (especially in a scene from the future). Sarah and Carl are not inferior to the new heroes.

The film sets the pace from the very beginning and keeps it going throughout the show, allowing the viewer to enjoy both the dramatic moments and the action. Tom Miller has given us what the fans of the franchise have been waiting for for years. That's exactly what a Terminator movie should be like. For me personally, "Terminator: Rock" is the best action movie of 2019.

    Bee Network

The nineties. Rene Gonzalez, a pilot flying from Cuba to Miami, has no desire to return. Fidel Castro's regime does not allow people who want freedom to exhale. Rene is working hard to bring his wife here as well. In addition, he finds accomplices to destabilize the dictator's government with terrorist attacks. They will have to pay for these actions.

Olivier Assayas shot one film a year and felt great with that rhythm. Every time we wondered how he managed to change genres and stay within the framework of high-quality cinema. The cornerstone was the spy thriller "The Bee Network," which Assayas shot almost entirely in Spanish. The reproduction of events sometimes reaches minute accuracy, but not everyone will be able to watch this spectacle for sure. Even the shooting down of planes makes you yawn, and you still have to try to ruin the action scene. The biggest problem of the film lies in the script, because it gives the impression that the dialogues were not written without the help of a conversational dictionary for beginners.
The editing, which ends almost all the scenes with a blackout, also highlights the obvious fact that this film was really made in a hurry. Do you think that all artistic techniques are such a homage to classic spy dramas? Well, let it be. And such an archaic approach to a fascinating story does a disservice. It is difficult to see a living person behind each of the main characters. If you want to make a movie based on a true story and still entertain the audience, Polanski showed the highest class a few days before the screening of The Bee Network. We don't insist, but, dear Assayas, maybe you should take a break? Gambling enthusiasts can discover the world of online gaming on the 1xbet platform.
