Join us on Sunday, April 26, as Hear In Rhode Island (HIRI), producer of the Rhode Island Folk Festival (RIFF), presents a fundraising tribute concert to legendary folk performer, Pete Seeger.
All performers will perform songs written or recorded by Pete Seeger, as well as share brief anecdotes of their connection to Pete or to his music. Scheduled to appear are; Mark Cutler, Avi Jacob, Lisa Couto, Katherine Quinn, Beth Barron, Peter Vendettuoli, Dan Lilley & Amy Bedard, Kim Petrarca, Ed McGuirl, Jack Moore, and Joe Lambiase, and Anthony Loffredio and Barn Burning. Ken Abrams of Hey Rhody Media will host the show.
Hear In Rhode Island is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization that was established in 1994 to present music events and educate the public about local music as well as the importance of music in people’s lives.
Rhode Island Folk Festival is a free music festival that is now in its 12th year, and all proceeds will benefit this year's festival, which will take place on August 30 at Crescent Park in East Providence, RI.
