FOREVER YOUNG: A tribute to the music of Neil Young
Now in their tenth year, the Forever Young Band was originally conceived after Mark Cutler, John Fuzek and Dan Lilley performed the Neil Young classic “Powderfinger” as a group set closer for an RI Songwriters Association show at Stone Soup Coffeehouse in Pawtucket, RI (March 2006). Forever Young is a group of performers that pay tribute to the SONGS of Neil Young. No one in the band tries to imitate Neil Young. There are five vocalists in the band and the songs are fronted by different members with added backing harmonies. In addition to Cutler, Fuzek, and Lilley, Forever Young original members also include Becky Chace and Pete Vendettuoli. John Amitrano and Phil Hicks were added to the band in December of 2007 to give the show a "Crazy Horse" feel. Original drummer, Phil Hicks passed away in Jan 2010. Leo Dumas was added to the line-up a few months later. Amy Bedard joined the band in April 2011 to add vocals, violin, guitar, and keyboard. Becky Chace left in 2012 and in December 2015 guitarist Mark Cutler and drummer Leo Dumas left the band. Former Rizzz, Original Jelly Roll Soul and RI Music Hall of Fame Member, Gary St. Germain joined in January of 2016. The band has stripped down to six members and now has a more concise and cleaner sound allowing for more varied instrumental interpretations of the music. All of the musicians performing in Forever Young are staples of the Rhode Island music scene and veterans of many national and regional tours. In addition, they are all fans and have been influenced by the music of Neil Young. Drawing on the 40+ year career of Neil Young the show highlights many of Young’s popular songs and a few of the more obscure numbers. The band performs both the acoustic and electric songs that Neil Young is famous for. The show is reminiscent of and was influenced by the "Four Way Street" live album recorded by Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young and of Neil Young with his many backup bands.
TRINITY: A tribute to Crosby, Stills, & Nash
Trinity is comprised of three vocalists with decades of experience in the music industry. An offshoot of the popular New England act "Band Of Brothers", Trinitystarted as a vehicle for the three lead vocalists to perform acoustically. Fred and Eric Komeiga still perform with Band Of Brothers while Joe Caron left B.O.B. to pursue varied musical interests. As a vocal/acoustic act Trinity is in a class all it's own. Specializing in performing music with soaring three part harmonies by CSN. Joe's intricate fingerstyle guitar work and Fred's driving rhythm guitar along with Eric's electronic and hand percussion make Trinity unlike any other acoustic act in New England. The members of Trinity have a long and varied history of musical accomplishments. Fred Komeiga is the lead vocalist and front man of Band Of Brothers with brother Eric Komiega handling vocals and percussion. He has formerly fronted such East Bay band favorites as Neon Jungle & One Bone Shy . "Cosmic" Joe Caron has been performing professionally since the age of fifteen, touring the US with The Jimmy Carter Show/Run21, F-Sharp and RI favorites Touch. Fred & Joe have been writing, singing, writing and playing together, off and on for over forty years. As a vocal/acoustic act Trinity is in a class all it's own specializing in performing music with soaring three part harmonies.
